- Methyl 4-Aminothiophene-3-Carboxylate
Methyl 4-aminothiophene-3-carboxylate hydrochloride is a nucleoside analog that inhibits the activity of DNA polymerase. It has been used to study the mechanism of DNA replication and for visualization of mismatched bases during DNA replication. Methyl 4-aminothiophene-3-carboxylate hydrochloride has also been used as a fluorescent probe for nucleobases, and as an analogue to deoxyguanosine. This compound has been shown to be effective in probing guanine, nucleosides, and deoxyribonucleosides.
