Product Information
N-Methyl-4-nitrophenethylamine is a photoaffinity probe that binds to the Ca2+ channel in myocardial cells and can be used as a fluorescent indicator. It has been shown to activate these channels when irradiated with light at a wavelength of 490 nm and to inhibit the influx of calcium ions into cardiac muscle cells. This compound also induces cardiac contractions, which may be due to its ability to induce inotropic effects.
