4-[4-(Methylsulfonyl)phenyl]thiazol-2-amine is a monofunctional amine that is used as a surfactant in the form of a cyclic sulfate ester. It is soluble in water and alcohol, and can be used as an oral dosage form to treat protozoal infections. 4-[4-(Methylsulfonyl)phenyl]thiazol-2-amine has an alkalizing effect due to its reaction with pyridine and magnesium, which creates a pyridine ring. This amine also reacts with silicon to form a reaction product.
