Product Information
- Methyl 1,3-Oxazole-4-Carboxylate
Methyl 4-oxazolecarboxylate is a chiral, functionalized phosphine that reacts with a variety of electrophiles to form organometallic compounds. The methyl group in the molecule has been shown to be a good leaving group, and can be used for the preparation of enantiomerically pure products. This compound can also be lithiated to create an organozinc reagent that is used for the cleavage of bonds. Functional groups on this compound can be modified by coupling reactions to prepare functionalized phosphines.
