Methyl 4-oxotetrahydrofuran-3-carboxylate is a tetrahydrofuran with an acyclic structure. It has a potency of 100 µM and is selective for the human receptor. Methyl 4-oxotetrahydrofuran-3-carboxylate binds to the human receptor and activates it, leading to an increase in intracellular cAMP levels.
