Methyl 3-amino-2-chlorobenzoate is a molecule that inhibits the polymerization of tubulin and is used as a pesticide. It has been shown to exhibit cytotoxic activity against cancer cells in vitro. Methyl 3-amino-2-chlorobenzoate has also been shown to inhibit the propagation of pathogenic fungus by inhibiting the synthesis of RNA and protein. This molecule is highly acidic and can be found in plants such as clover, alfalfa, soybeans, and wheat. The chemical structure of methyl 3-amino-2-chlorobenzoate contains an aromatic ring with a substituted amino group attached to it.
