Myristoyl methyl beta-alanine (MMBA) is a high purity amphoteric surfactant that has been used as a conditioning agent and emulsifier in cosmetic products. MMBA is an alkyl ether of myristic acid, which is a fatty acid with a nature of solid at room temperature. This product can be dissolved in water to form an ionized solution. The molecular weight of MMBA is about 250 g/mol and its molecular formula is C14H36O3N2. MMBA has a particle size range of 0.5-10 microns and can be used as a transfer agent for other materials, such as nitrate or chloride.
