Description

Moracin M is an α-subunit isolated from the acetate extract of the plant Moracin. It has been shown to have potent anti-aromatase activity and can be a potential treatment for breast cancer. Moracin M inhibits the conversion of androgens to estrogens. It also has other biological properties such as its ability to inhibit the synthesis of leukotrienes, which are inflammatory mediators. Moracin M has significant interactions with other drugs and food substances, including coumarins, which are natural compounds found in plants that are used as anticoagulants; synthetic pathway inhibitors; and hydrogen bond blockers.
