3-Methylthiazolidine-2,4-dione (MTZD) is a chromophore that has been shown to be an effective ligand for tumour cells. It has been shown to have a kinetic rate of 0.0005 M/s and this rate is independent of the concentration of the MTZD. The reaction with MTZD is dependent on the kinetics, which are in turn dependent on the molecular electrostatic potential and dipole. The theory behind this reaction suggests that it will form compounds with yields of 0.0036% and will inhibit tumour growth by alkylation.
