Product Information
3-Methoxytetrahydrofuran is a chiral compound that belongs to the class of ethers. It is an optical isomer of tetrahydrofuran and can be used as a solvent in organic synthesis. It has been shown to react with hydrogen peroxide, acetaldehyde, and trialkylboranes to form boronic esters. 3-Methoxytetrahydrofuran also reacts with diisopinocampheylborane and peroxide to produce ethers. 3-Methoxytetrahydrofuran undergoes hydroboration under alkaline conditions, leading to the formation of boronate esters.
