The compound can be found in vanadium and quinones. 2-Methoxy-3-methylaniline has been shown to be a pheromonal compound that displays spectra of aliphatic, hydrazido, and hydrocarbon analysis. This molecule has the ability to bind oxygen atoms, which are present in the molecules of many aromatic compounds. 2-Methoxy-3-methylaniline also exhibits properties of aldehydes by decomposing into formaldehyde when heated at high temperatures or exposed to ultraviolet light.
