Description:
Maleimidoacetic acid N-hydroxysuccinimide ester (MA) is a synthetic antimicrobial agent that inhibits the growth of bacteria by binding to their DNA. MA has been shown to have significant cytotoxicity and can be used for the diagnosis of diseases such as cirrhosis and cancer. MA also has been shown to have adverse health effects, including glycemic parameters, blood pressure, and insulin resistance. The mechanism of MA is not well understood but may be due to its ability to inhibit the transport properties of erythrocytes.
