4-Methyl-2-nitro-N-acetylbenzeneamine is a molecule with anticancer activity. It is synthesized by the reaction of 4-methylbenzenamine and nitric acid. This compound has been shown to have an intermolecular hydrogen bond with the wild-type virus, influenza virus, and amide bonds with other molecules. The intramolecular hydrogen bond between the methyl groups on 4-methylbenzenamine provides stability to this molecule and prevents it from decomposing. 4-Methyl-2-nitro-N-acetylbenzeneamine has been shown to be an efficient method for treating influenza, anthelmintic drugs, and cancer cells.
