Description

1-Methyl-3-propyl-1H-pyrazole-5-carboxylic acid is a synthetic amide with a thionyl group. It has been shown to inhibit the reaction rate of sildenafil and chloride, as well as the synthesis of tyrosinase. The reaction time and yield depend on the concentration of diethyloxalate used in the reaction. 1-Methyl-3-propyl-1H-pyrazole-5-carboxylic acid has also been used in conformational studies to determine the molecular structure of sildenafil and its analogues.
