1-Methylethyl)carbamic acid phenyl ester (1-MEPE) is a nitro-heterocycloalkyl that has been shown to be mediated by nitrogen atoms. 1-MEPE inhibits inflammatory diseases, such as arthritis and asthma. It also inhibits the production of cytokines and prostaglandins, which are mediators of inflammation. 1-MEPE is used in the treatment of allergic reactions, and it is also used to treat pain and fever associated with inflammatory diseases. It has been shown to inhibit protein synthesis by blocking the activity of enzymes involved in protein synthesis.
