a-Methyl-phenothiazine-10-ethanol (MPE) is a chiral, modular molecule with alcohol and phenothiazine moieties. It has antineoplastic properties and can be used as a chemotherapeutic agent to treat cancer. MPE is also used to inhibit the growth of fungus and may have an effect on bacterial cells.
