Description:

2-Methyl-6-(tributylstannyl)pyridine is a synthetic organometallic compound that can be thermolysed to form azide and monoxide. It has been shown to react with tert-butyl lithium, leading to the formation of a nucleophilic radical species in the presence of an azide. This process is analogous to the Suzuki reaction. 2-Methyl-6-(tributylstannyl)pyridine can also be synthesized from 2,6-dibromopyridine and tributyltin chloride.
