Methoxatin disodium salt is a sodium salt that has been shown to have antioxidant properties. It protects cells from oxidative damage and increases the mitochondrial membrane potential, which is essential for the production of ATP. Methoxatin disodium salt also stimulates enzyme activities, such as glutathione peroxidase and glutathione reductase, and prevents lipid peroxidation of human serum.
