2-Methyl-3-nitropyridine is a chemical compound with the molecular formula CHNO. It is a c1-c4 haloalkyl, carbonyl group, bicyclic heterocycle, dialkylamino, and extracellular. The compound reacts at temperatures between -10°C to 60°C with nitrobenzoic acid to produce picolinic acid and alkylthio group inorganic acid (e.g., nitrous acid).
2-Methyl-3-nitropyridine reacts with sodium sulfide in water to produce nitro and alkylthio group inorganic acid (e.g., nitrous acid).
