Description

6-Methylquinoline is a quinoline derivative that is used in organic synthesis and as a chemical intermediate. It has been shown to be an inhibitor of covid-19 virus, which is the causative agent of pandemic influenza. 6-Methylquinoline has genotoxic effects and can cause acute toxicities at high concentrations. The reaction solution is immobilized on a glass fiber filter and then analyzed by vibrational spectroscopy. The constant was found to be 0.30 ± 0.02, indicating that the reaction proceeds with first order kinetics.
