It is a white crystalline solid that has a chemical formula of C8H7NOS3O4S. Methyl 2-methyl-4-hydroxy-2H-thieno[2,3-e]-1,2-thiazine - 3 - carboxylatelate 1,1 - dioxide can be synthesized by reacting activated carbon with 2 aminopyridine and carbonizing the product in the presence of alkali. The reaction temperature should be between 200-250 degrees Celsius for a period of 10 hours to produce crystals.
