Description:
3-(Methylthio)hexanol is a synthetic chemical that has been used as an extractant for various compounds. It has been used to study the stereoisomers of hexanal, which is a product of lipid peroxidation and can be found in cooked meat. 3-(Methylthio)hexanol has also been used as a relaxant in cavitation experiments.
