Description:

5-Methylhexanoic acid is a synthetic, solid catalyst and a monocarboxylic acid. It is used for the production of polycarboxylic acids and is an important raw material for organic synthesis. 5-Methylhexanoic acid can also be used as a corrosion inhibitor in industrial applications. As a reaction product, this chemical can be used to produce stable complexes that are asymmetrically synthesized. These complexes are useful in organic synthesis reactions, such as the synthesis of vitamin A and fatty acids. 5-Methylhexanoic acid has been shown to have energy efficiency benefits by reducing viscosity during polymerization reactions.
