Description

Methyl 4-methoxyacetoacetate is a synthetic chemical compound that can be used in the synthesis of other substances. It has been shown to react with diacetates and produce hydroxy compounds during the reaction system. The reaction rate is dependent on the temperature and concentration of the reactants, as well as the presence of a catalyst such as hydrochloric acid. Methyl 4-methoxyacetoacetate has also been shown to form crystals when heated at constant temperature, which have been analyzed by X-ray diffraction.
