Moline is an activated herbicide that inhibits the activity of enzymes involved in the synthesis of fatty acids and cholesterol. Moline is a member of the class of compounds known as azepines, which are structurally similar to epinephrine (adrenaline). Moline has been shown to be toxic to testicular cells and can also inhibit the synthesis of DNA, RNA, and proteins. This drug has low toxicity to other organs when administered at physiological levels. The sample preparation for moline is very simple because it does not require special solvents or chromatography techniques. Moline is a cell-specific activator and can be used in vitro assays on bacterial strains.
