Description:
4-(Methylthio)thiophenol is a chemokine that is the result of the reaction between piperazine and methyl mercaptan. It has an efficiency method for its synthesis, which involves dispersive polymerization in micelles. 4-(Methylthio)thiophenol reacts with tribromide to form methylene-4-bromothiophene, which can be used as a solvent for silicon. The compound has been shown to have antibacterial properties against human pathogens such as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Mycobacterium tuberculosis. 4-(Methylthio)thiophenol also has an analytical property that can be used in wastewater treatment techniques.
