Methyl 4-(butyrylamino)-3-methyl-5-nitrobenzoate is a synthetic compound that has been used to synthesize chloride. It is prepared by nitration of methyl 3-methyl-4-nitrophenyl benzoate with nitric acid and sulfuric acid.
