Product Information
Methyl 3-(3-hydroxyphenyl)propionate is a regioisomer of methyl 3-phenylpropionate that is obtained by the photocycloaddition of arenes. This reaction has been shown to yield low yields, with irradiation as a possible method for increasing the yield. The carbomethoxy group can be replaced with other functional groups such as acetoxy and chloro to produce different regioisomers. Methyl 3-(3-hydroxyphenyl)propionate can also undergo intramolecular cyclization reactions to form polymers with various side chains. These reactions can lead to the formation of homologues and steric isomers. Methyl 3-(3-hydroxyphenyl)propionate is commercially available in mixtures, which may contain other regioisomers, such as methyl 2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)propionate and methyl 4-(2-hyd
