Description:
Methyl 3-bromo-4-methylbenzoate is a drug that has been shown to have affinity for cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. This compound was identified as a potential cancer drug by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) mass spectrometry, which is a technique that has been used to identify small molecules from biological matrices.
