Description:
1-Methyl-1H-pyrazol-5-amine (1MP) is a chemical compound which is used in cancer research. It is potent inducers of apoptosis and cell growth inhibition. 1MP can be synthesized by reacting benzothiazole with acetonitrile in the presence of perchlorates to produce an intermediate that undergoes electrophilic aromatic substitution. The product can then be reacted with chloroform to produce 1MP.
