Description:
2-Methoxy-3-pyridinecarboxaldehyde is a reactive compound with antioxidant activity. It has been shown to be neuroprotective in various models of dopaminergic neuronal death and to have a positive effect on the synthesis of dopamine. 2-Methoxy-3-pyridinecarboxaldehyde also inhibits methyltransferase and palladium-catalyzed coupling reactions. This compound may also be useful as a lead compound for the development of new drugs with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, or anticancer properties.
