  • 1-Methylpiperazin-2-one
Description:

1-Methyl-piperazin-2-one (1MP) is a prodrug that is metabolized to piperazine in vivo. It has been shown to inhibit the replication of wild-type viruses and amine-dependent viruses, such as HIV, HBV, and HCV. 1MP has been shown to have a deuterium isotope effect in vitro assays, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the phosphorylation of cellular proteins. This drug is orally bioavailable and exhibits pharmacokinetic properties that are similar across all populations.
