N-(3-Methoxyphenyl)guanidine (MPEG) is a pyrimidine with a dihedral angle of 60.07°. It has a crystal structure that is stabilized by hydrogen bonding interactions between the nitrogen and oxygen atoms on the ring and the hydroxyl group on the 3-methoxy group. MPEG is an asymmetric molecule, with two different enantiomers that are not mirror images of each other. In this compound, the nitrogen atom is bonded to three carbon atoms and one hydrogen atom, while the oxygen atom is bonded to four carbon atoms and one hydrogen atom.
