Product Information
- sulfo-EMCS6-Maleimidocaproic acid sulfo-N-succinimidyl ester
6-Maleimidocaproic acid sulfo-NHS is a caprolactam analogue that is activated by reduction to form 6-maleimidocaproic acid. It has been used in the diagnosis of camp levels, which are increased in people with cancer and other diseases. 6-Maleimidocaproic acid sulfo-NHS binds to β-catenin and toll-like receptor proteins, which are molecules that regulate cell growth and the immune system. The binding of 6-maleimidocaproic acid sulfo-NHS to these receptors induces the production of epidermal growth factor (EGF) and fatty acids, which stimulate cell division and inhibit inflammation.
