Product Information
2-(4-Methoxyphenoxy)benzoic acid is a fluorescent probe that has been used in microscopy to investigate the mechanism of biomolecular bond cleavage. It has been shown to be an optical probe for the detection of aromatisation mediated by piperidine, and fluorescence analysis has revealed that 2-(4-Methoxyphenoxy)benzoic acid is a carboxylate. This compound undergoes mechanistically stereoselective bond cleavage with incubation, and can be analysed using fluorescence spectroscopy.
