Description:
3-(4-Methylphenyl)-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carbaldehyde is an antimicrobial agent that belongs to the group of imidazoles. It has been shown to be active against a number of bacterial strains and is classified as a bacteriostatic agent. 3-(4-Methylphenyl)-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carbaldehyde inhibits bacterial growth by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, preventing protein synthesis. The compound was tested against different test strains and showed promising results in its ability to inhibit the growth of Gram positive bacteria and some Gram negative bacteria. 3-(4-Methylphenyl)-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carbaldehyde also has an antibacterial activity that is dependent on irradiation with UV light or gamma radiation.
