Description:

2-Methyl-2H-pyrazole-3-carboxylic acid is a pyrazole that has been shown to be a potent inducer of cell death. In mouse fibroblast cells, 2-methyl-2H-pyrazole-3-carboxylic acid inhibited the production of TNFα and other cytokines. This compound induced cell lysis by binding to nuclear DNA and disrupting the function of the cell nucleus. It also potently induces β-catenin degradation in human carcinoma cells.
