Methyl pyrrolidine-3-carboxylate (MPC) is a synthetic compound with phenyl group substituents that is used in assays for the detection of amide and phenyl groups. It has been shown that MPC can bind to the receptor subtype of the alpha-7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptor, which may be useful in developing new drugs for cancer treatment. MPC also has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties similar to those of dimethyl fumarate.
