Description:

3-Methoxyacrylic acid methyl ester is a synthetic monocarboxylic acid. It is used in the metathesis reactions of organic chemistry and can be synthesized by reacting hydrogen chloride with ethyl formate, propionate, or chloroformates. It is also used to produce other organic compounds. This compound has been shown to act as an inhibitor of the formation of reactive oxygen species and may be useful in the treatment of inflammatory conditions such as arthritis.
