Description

1-(2-Mesitylene)-1,3-butanedione is a diode that emits light when excited. When used in LEDs, it has a quantum yield of up to 80%. It is an ancillary material for phosphorescent emitters, which are more efficient and have lower operating voltage than fluorescent emitters.
