Description

(-)-Menthoxyacetic Acid is a chloroacetic acid that can be used as a chiral building block for the synthesis of cellulose derivatives. It can also be used as a chiral reagent in the preparation of staudinger and enantiomeric epoxides. (-)-Menthoxyacetic Acid is an optical isomer. It has been shown to form membranes with large pores and high permeability, which are useful in diffraction studies. This compound is also soluble in organic solvents such as ethers, chloroform, and alcohols.
