Description:

Methylsulfamic acid is an amine salt that is used as a conditioning agent. It is effective at a dose of 0.5%. Methylsulfamic acid inhibits the growth of bacteria by reacting with the sulfamic acid in the bacterial cell wall, which prevents the synthesis of polycarboxylic acids and halides. Methylsulfamic acid has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of sulfonamides, such as sulphadiazine, and also inhibits hydrochloric acid-induced erythrocyte hemolysis. Methylsulfamic acid can be used as an ingredient in medicinal preparations.
