Description:
(R)-4-(2-(2-(2-Methylpyrrolidin-1-yl)-ethyl)benzofuran-5-yl)benzonitrile is a histamine receptor antagonist that blocks the activation of histamine H3 receptors. It was shown to reduce the expression of conditioned place aversion and locomotor sensitization in mice. This drug has also been shown to be effective as a prophylactic agent against damage caused by chronic exposure to drugs such as nicotine, amphetamine, and morphine.
