Description

3'-Methoxy-5,7,4'-trihydroxyflavanone is a plant compound that has been shown to have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It inhibits the production of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), which is involved in the inflammatory response, by inhibiting the mitochondrial membrane potential. 3'-Methoxy-5,7,4'-trihydroxyflavanone also prevents ATP binding to the cellular ATP-binding cassette transporter. It may be used as an additive to food products or in topical creams. This compound may also be used as a natural remedy for inflammation and pain relief.
