3,5-Di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxybenzoic acid methyl ester is a low molecular weight organic compound. It is a white solid that is soluble in organic solvents. 3,5-Di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxybenzoic acid methyl ester is used in the production of dyes and pigments. It can be used as an intermediate for the synthesis of epoxy resins and polyesters. This chemical is also used to prepare benzoates by reacting with sodium carbonate, ketone, or other carboxylic acids. 3,5-Di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxybenzoic acid methyl ester has been shown to be resistant to ultraviolet radiation and radiation.
