Description:
(S)-(+)-1-Methoxy-2-propanol is an alcohol that can be used as a solvent for organic reactions. It is also used as a chiral catalyst in the production of pharmaceuticals, such as ibuprofen and naproxen. The enantiomers of this compound have different properties, including melting points and solubility. This compound has been shown to react with water to produce hydrogen peroxide, which is toxic to cells.
