Methyl 4-Nitro-1H-pyrazole-3-carboxylate is a chemical that inhibits the activity of DNA methyltransferases, which are enzymes responsible for the transfer of methyl groups to DNA. This leads to the inhibition of cellular growth and DNA synthesis. Methyl 4-Nitro-1H-pyrazole-3-carboxylate has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in vivo and in vitro. It has also been shown to have anticancer activity against human colon cancer cells (HCT116) and leukemia cells (THP1). Methyl 4-Nitro-1H-pyrazole-3-carboxylate is currently being studied for its pharmacokinetic properties, translation, and uptake in vivo.
