Description:
4-Methoxy-3-nitrobenzaldehyde is a synthetic amide that contains an aromatic ring with a methoxy group and a carbonyl group. It is white or light yellow in color, has a melting point of 138°C, and can crystallize in the form of needles or prisms. 4-Methoxy-3-nitrobenzaldehyde has been shown to have potent inhibitory activity against murine leukemia cells and significant cytotoxicity. This compound also possesses anticancer activity by inducing apoptosis in cancer cells. 4-Methoxy-3-nitrobenzaldehyde inhibits l1210 murine leukemia cells by interfering with the synthesis of DNA, RNA, and proteins.
