4-Methoxy-3-nitrobenzaldehyde is a synthetic amide that contains an aromatic ring with a methoxy group and a carbonyl group. It is white or light yellow in color, has a melting point of 138°C, and can crystallize in the form of needles or prisms. 4-Methoxy-3-nitrobenzaldehyde has been shown to have potent inhibitory activity against murine leukemia cells and significant cytotoxicity. This compound also possesses anticancer activity by inducing apoptosis in cancer cells. 4-Methoxy-3-nitrobenzaldehyde inhibits l1210 murine leukemia cells by interfering with the synthesis of DNA, RNA, and proteins. Further research is required to determine whether this compound has any effect on other types of cancer cells.
