Product Information

Name:
3-(Methoxydimethylsilyl)propyl Acrylate
Synonyms:
  • (3-Acryloxypropyl)dimethylmethoxysilane
Description:

3-(Methoxydimethylsilyl)propyl Acrylate is an acrylate monomer that can be used as a diagnostic or screening tool for prostate cancer. A number of polypeptides have been synthesized using this monomer and polymerized to form biochips. The biochips are then used to identify prostate cancer and other diseases. 3-(Methoxydimethylsilyl)propyl Acrylate has been shown to bind to human prostate tissue, which is how it detects prostate cancer cells. This chemical has also been used in the synthesis of a variety of analytes, including proteins, peptides, and DNA sequences.
