- Methyl 2-[(4-fluorobenzoyl)amino]benzoate
Methyl 2-[(4-Fluorobenzoyl)Amino]Benzoate is a replication inhibitor that is used to treat cancer. It inhibits the activity of DNA polymerase and topoisomerase, which are enzymes essential for cellular proliferation. Methyl 2-[(4-Fluorobenzoyl)Amino]Benzoate has been shown to inhibit the growth of mouse tumour cells in culture and to induce apoptosis in human cancer cells. The drug also induces senescence in human cells by inhibiting DNA synthesis and repair. This drug may be used as an anti-cancer agent for the treatment of cancers resistant to temozolomide treatment, such as gliomas.
